Our client Stuti was looking for this balance of structure and style when she approached us to create a trendy semi-formal outfit for a New Year’s office party. Her brief was that she wanted something that would look quite different from her regular office wear without looking too informal either
Our designers racked their brains and decided to create a co-ord jacket and pants set for Stuti in a rich Emerald green colour to make the outfit festive yet office-appropriate. We created a single-breasted blazer in tweed fabric with a satin lining to ensure that the jacket was comfortable to wear. We chose a straight hemline for the blazer and added just a side pocket without a flap and did not add any chest pockets or buttons to the jacket. The reason behind skipping on the buttons and too many pockets was to give a modern and sleek look to the outfit
For the trousers, we went with cigarette pants with a flat front to flatter Stuti’s body type and to amp up the smartness quotient of the outfit. The idea was to let the luscious emerald green colour of the outfit shine through while keeping the rest of the design elements fairly simple
Stuti paired the emerald green blazer and trousers with a black faux turtleneck top that complemented the rest of the look beautifully. With her straight hair and the well-fitted jewel-toned jacket and trousers, she looked like a boss lady ready to ring in the new year!
