Taking a cue from this charming trend of mommy and me outfits, our client Sweety wanted to dress herself and her little daughter Adwaa in matching gowns for the festive occasion of Christmas. Since the event was a celebratory one, Sweety was looking for bright and flowy gowns to add to the cheer of the festival. The challenge for our designers was to create matching outfits that would look equally cute and elegant on baby Adwaa and her mum respectively
To go with the Christmas theme, we picked a vibrant teal colour for the gowns and decided to go for a flowy A-line silhouette with layers to add flamboyance to the outfits. The base of the gowns was created with smooth satin with a crepe lining and three layers of organza were added for ample bounce and volume
We chose a simple boat neck and cap sleeves for Sweety’s gown for a graceful look while we added a sash at the back of Adwaa’s gown to boost the cuteness quotient. Peach coloured hand made roses were added at the waistline to break the solid colour of the outfit
The Final Look
We loved the final look of the gowns on both Sweety and Adwaa as they looked like angels in their floaty dresses. The flowy nature of the gowns brought out Sweety’s femininity and Adwaa’s playful nature in equal measures, making these mom and daughter matching dresses a resounding success
