When two sisters get married within one week, the weddings are double the fun! This was the case for our clients Neelima and Shilpa, two beautiful sisters who had their weddings planned less than a week apart. They both chose Lavender, The Boutique, for their Christian wedding gowns as well as for the bridesmaid dresses. The week-long celebration started with Neelima’s wedding, in which soon-to-be bride Shilpa was also a bridesmaid. Here is how we created a phenomenal custom-made wedding gown for Neelima!
For Neelima’s wedding gown, we chose a voluminous skirt made with 3 layers of satin fabric and a circular-cut silhouette. Since the skirt had plain white satin with a beautiful sheen, we complemented it with delicate net fabric for the yoke.
We also added transparent sleeves of an embroidered fabric to offer coverage while being stylish. To add to the elegance of the gown, we created a sweetheart neckline in the front with a half-transparent back.
No white wedding gown is complete without a veil. So, we created a stunning 44-inch fingertip veil for Neelima that had floral embroidery all over the fabric. The juxtaposition of the embroidered sleeves and veil with the classy white satin of the gown created a remarkable look.
