Bride-to-be Naina wanted a vibrant bridal lehenga for her Sangeet and a bridesmaid lehenga for her sister. Here's what we created for them!

The pre-wedding Sangeet ceremony demands vibrant and colourful outfits to suit the joyous occasion. Thus, to make her Sangeet in Kerala a colourful affair, our client Naina wanted a blingy designer bridal lehenga. Naina also wanted a customized lehenga choli for her sister to flaunt at the Sangeet. Here is how our designers created two beautiful ghagra blouse sets for the bride and her sister.

Since there is a lot of dancing at a Sangeet, our designers recommended a mirrorwork bridal lehenga for Naina as the mirrors would give a spectacular movement to the outfit. Mirror work lehengas are in trend and are perfect for Sangeet ceremonies because of the bling and drama they offer. Further, we recommended a bridal fuchsia pink colour for Naina’s lehenga to make the mirror work more prominent.

Naina’s lehenga skirt was made with an embroidered pink fabric that had mirrorwork on net. More volume was added to the skirt with the help of kalis. The kaliwala silhouette made the outfit look bridal and offered the perfect flare for the dance performances at the Sangeet.

To complement the lehenga, we made the Sangeet blouse with a satin linen fabric that had matching mirror work all over it. We gave the blouse a sweetheart neckline at the front and the back and elbow sleeves to flatter Naina’s body type. Also, a dori with a latkan was added at the back as a nice detail.

To complete Naina’s lehenga dress, we added a pink net dupatta with light mirror work. Further, the dupatta had a mirror work lace border to tie the whole outfit together.

For Naina’s sister’s lehenga, we chose a slightly subtle design appropriate for a bridesmaid lehenga. So, our designer’s recommended a dark green and off-white brocade ghagra choli design with golden threadwork all over it. This colour combination and fabric would make the lehenga look festive and Sangeet-appropriate.

Using this stunning brocade fabric, we created a kaliwala lehenga skirt for Naina’s sister. Thus, we made sure to add the much-needed flare for beautiful dance shots. We also added ball latkans made from the same fabric for a playful effect, and used a lace belt to cinch in the waist for a trendy look.

For the bridesmaid blouse, we used the same brocade fabric. We added comfortable elbow sleeves and round necklines at the front and back. We also added matching latkans to the blouse as an eye-catching detail. A beautiful brocade dupatta finished this look.
