Our client Srujna had the same expectation when she visited Lavender, The Boutique, for a wedding reception gown in Bangalore for her brother’s marriage. She had envisioned wearing a spectacular red outfit for the reception party, and it was up to us to bring her vision to life in the most fashionable way. So, here is how our designers created the perfect sister of the groom outfit for Srujna.
Keeping Srujna’s colour of choice in mind, our designers selected a red lace fabric for the outfit. We recommended a ball gown silhouette as it would be a dramatic and fashionable choice for a wedding event. To create a voluminous ball gown silhouette, we used a hoop skirt under the shimmery red fabric.
Srujna also wanted the waist of the gown to be transparent, so we used the sheer cloth without any lining at the waist. This would also break the monotony of the floor-length gown and complement Srujna’s slim figure. We paired the transparent waist with a bustier style at the bust for a fitted effect.
We added long transparent sleeves to the gown and kept the neckline stylish with a jewel neck, an illusion sweetheart neckline and a rolled collar. All these details balanced the voluminous skirt of the ball gown and gave a chic look to the dress.
We also kept Srujna’s comfort in mind and added crepe, satin, and cotton lining to the red ball gown. This ensured that the fabric would feel soft against her skin.
