Red is the colour of celebration in India, and the iconic Zuhair Murad gown from Deepika Padukone’s reception look has set the tone for all festivities this season to be blingy, sparkly and vibrant red
When our client Osheen approached us to design an evening gown for her to wear to her parents’ red-themed 25th wedding anniversary party in Chandigarh, we knew that we had to go for a soft, sheer red fabric with embellishments to add that festive feel
We went with a crimson red gown that had shiny satin as its base fabric with soft sparkle net on top to add a dreamy element to the gown’s skirt. We chose an A-line silhouette for the gown keeping the body type in mind and balanced it with an illusion off-shoulder neckline and long transparent sleeves
The use of the sparkle net and the sheer, embellished sleeves added oodles of femininity to the outfit.
We also added a chapel train to the gown for just the right amount of drama, without making the gown difficult to walk around in
The Final Look
Osheen looked incredibly beautiful and elegant in the gown dress, with her sleek long hair and statement earrings that balanced the off-shoulder neckline perfectly. The crimson hue of her gown complemented her skin tone beautifully and made her look radiant
