When our client Suman asked us to design her a lehenga for a close relative’s wedding, our designers instantly envisioned her draped in a soothing icy blue hue that would suit her complexion really well
The Lehenga Skirt
Suman wanted something stylish yet majestic, so we went for a light blue panelled lehenga made of soft silk, with diagonal floral motifs in different shades of pink embroidered on it
Blouse Design for Lehenga
For blouse design of the lehenga, our team chose a sweetheart neckline and elbow-length sleeves to flatter Suman’s body type. The colour of the blouse was the same ice blue as the skirt and fuchsia, blush pink and baby pink floral motifs were embroidered on the blouse too, but here the motifs were placed close together for an embellished look
Dupatta Design
A pink dupatta with a silver gota patti border was chosen to create a contrast against the stunning blue of the lehenga. Scallops were added to the border of the dupatta for a delicate finish. Overall, the outfit was a perfect balance of modern and traditional elements, with the unique blue colour juxtaposed against the diagonal patterns of the embroidery, and the more classic colour choice for the dupatta
The Final Look
Suman styled the lehenga dress beautifully with kundan jewellery and the final look exuded fairytale vibes. We think that this ice blue colour looks spectacular on her, don’t you agree?
