Our client, Sushma, was looking for a formal and sophisticated dress that she could wear to a private event and also host the event in the same outfit
When thinking of a party event and when you especially have to be on stage you need a dress that catches all eyes and doesn’t need limelight to get the attention. Instead of getting into a complicated silhouette we aimed to design a simple bodycon dress for our client
A bodycon dress is usually a tight, figure-hugging number which has a weighty material, designed to pull you in a smooth fitted garment. From Kim Kardashian to Priyanka Chopra everyone has flaunted this trend, no matter the size
While selecting a bodycon dress you need to be extra careful in selecting the fabric. Choose a thicker fabric that has some stretch element to it so that it is more structured and smoothes out your curves without affecting the fabric strength

For our client, Sushma, we chose a luxurious velvet fabric in a monochromatic red color for her bodycon dress. Velvet has always been considered a luxurious fabric with a subtle sheen to it and makes it perfect for the events and it is heavy enough to hug the body without making it too skimpy. We decided not to go with a traditional sleeveless bodycon but instead, we designed a one-shoulder bodycon dress that accentuated our client’s physique and especially her shoulders
The final outfit fitted Sushma like a glove and since she also asked us to help her style the outfit, we suggested her to go with a pair of boots instead of the usual sandals or stiletto heels. We advised her against wearing any necklace and rather accesorize with large ear pieces to complete the look
